The MA-1 DRESS combines the iconic military MA-1 jacket with the elegance of a classic dress, bringing two contrasting elements—casual and refined—into one of MASAHIRO OKUNO’s signature pieces.

Wear the waist belt loose for a relaxed A-line silhouette, or cinch it in to create a more defined, dress-like shape. A two-way front zipper allows for versatile styling, while the quilted construction with padding provides warmth. It combines the presence of a dress with the practicality of a winter coat.

◾️Choosing Your Size (For Heights Around 156–160cm)
If you are around 156–160cm tall, we recommend choosing your size based on how you would like to wear the MA-1 DRESS.

For a fit similar to a regular coat: Size S is recommended
The length is slightly shorter and closer to that of a typical coat. The shoulders and sleeves will also have a relatively fitted feel.

For a more dress-like look: Size M is recommended
The full length creates a more dress-like silhouette, with a little more room through the shoulders and sleeves.

“Dresses for Everyday Life”


There is something special about the way a dress can make you feel the sense of occasion, the excitement, the way it can lift your mood.

But depending on the person, there may only be a few chances in life to wear one. And when a dress feels too formal or elegant, it can be difficult to find a place for it in everyday life.

When I was a child, I often saw my parents’ wedding photo displayed in their bedroom. They were dressed more beautifully than perhaps at any other time in their lives. Whenever I think of that photo, I find myself wishing we could enjoy that same feeling a little more often in everyday life.

That is why I like combining casual pieces such as the MA-1 with the elegant silhouette of a dress.

I do not want dresses to be reserved only for special occasions. I want them to be part of ordinary days too—to make you feel a little happier the moment you put one on, or to help you see yourself in a slightly more beautiful way.

Through clothing, I want to create those small positive changes.

That is why I continue making dresses for everyday life.

Pre-Orders & Ordering

Many MASAHIRO OKUNO items are available on a pre-order basis.

Each item has its own pre-order period and estimated shipping schedule, so please check the relevant product page before placing your order. Orders will be shipped sequentially according to the stated shipping schedule.

As pre-order items are produced based on confirmed orders, cancellations and changes to color or size cannot generally be accepted once an order has been placed.

Please note that the estimated shipping schedule may change depending on production conditions. If there is a significant delay, we will contact you at the email address registered with your order.
Shipping & Delivery

Orders will be shipped according to the estimated shipping schedule shown on each product page. Once your order has been shipped, tracking information will be sent to your registered email address.

For deliveries within Japan, shipping is free on orders of ¥20,000 or more (including tax). For orders under ¥20,000, the shipping fee and available delivery method will be shown at checkout.

If your order includes multiple items with different shipping schedules, they may be shipped separately.

Delivery may be delayed due to weather, transportation conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.

If you need to change your delivery address after placing an order, please contact us before the order has been shipped.
International Orders

We offer international shipping to selected countries and regions available at checkout.

Shipping fees vary depending on the destination and will be displayed at checkout.

Any customs duties, import taxes, and value-added tax (VAT) incurred on international orders will be covered by the Store. In principle, customers will not be required to pay these charges separately upon delivery.

Please note that delivery may take longer due to international transportation, customs clearance, or other circumstances.
Returns & Exchanges

As a general rule, we do not accept returns or exchanges for customer-related reasons, including incorrect sizing, a change of mind, differences in expectations, or ordering errors.

Before placing your order, please review the size guide, product description, materials, and specifications on each product page. If you have any questions about sizing, please contact us before placing your order.

If your item is defective or you receive an incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will review the details and advise you on the appropriate next steps.
